Promoting Awareness, Access, and Affordability in Healthcare
India faces one of the highest out-of-pocket health expenditures in the world, with medicines forming a major share that often pushes families into financial distress. While generic medicines are equally safe, effective, and affordable, public awareness and trust remain low due to persistent myths and limited accessibility.
Through the Generics for All initiative, Vaaradhi Trust aims to bridge this knowledge and trust gap by promoting awareness, accessibility, and acceptance of branded and pure generic medicines. The initiative aligns with the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), which seeks to ensure affordable and quality medicines for all.
Key Objectives
- Increase public awareness of generic medicines’ safety, efficacy, and benefits.
- Strengthen linkages with PMBJP outlets and affordable medicine programs.
